why? It is a link to a PDF file.... Not allowed to post links here anymore? This pdf file is free from the site anyways. If this were pirated software, i would understand where you are coming from, but this is a FREE file you can get from the website.

Karyuu's advice a few posts down fixes any issues people might be having at least with the registration box not showing up. I still think it was unwise for them to use something reliant on so new a rich media plug-in that downloading it direct from Adobe still isnt new enough to make it work...

I have an idea: Someone should just extract the flash content from that one page. If it was working for me I could just do it; I've extracted images from pdf files like this before, so I imagine you could do the same here with this thing.

No, its not that simple. It keeps downloading as "incomplete" through bitorrent for me. Then the movie never starts up, so i can't frigging enter any dam code.

you dont have to shell out any gold for this, keep trying. Until i figured out what to do, it took me 2 hours. And plus, they are already going for 40k.

One more time for people who have not tried this yet:

If you have problems with acrobat reader not liking the flash form within the magazine, even though you have updated both repeatedly and cursed a few times going "WHY??? WHY?!" (yours truly) there's a simple trick you'll have to pull: go to where your flash plugin is installed (C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash on my machine) and run NPSWF32_FlashUtil.exe. You'll see than an update is in order, even if you downloaded the most recent version of the player from Adobe. This might help.

has anyone who got an in-use code been given another code that worked? not "they sent me the same code", but a NEW code that worked. ie, are they pulling through with the support end?
forgewhelp, i had the same issue. had to keep submitting my information until i got a message saying "you have already registered for that, we are resending the code" and there it was. i just didn't get the first email at all.

I don't see what more i can do. I have the latest Adobe reader. I have the latest Adobe Flash Player. The box on the magazine where i should enter my subscription won't load. If i right-click i get "Movie not downloading?" msg or something, only its grayed out, so i can't select it. I click the "About Adobe Flash 9" link, only for it to say i'm up to date.

Yep, I just saw it for 39K in Lions, so it's gonna be a real cheapie within days, I imagine.

That's still 30k more than they paid for it. I don't see why i should be paying for something that thousands got for free. It almost feels like a scam.

I understand your frustration, like i said before i got hte bugs out, i was at it for 2 hours. The box took about 3 minutes to load for me if that helps.

Agreed. I went to Adobes site to update from 6 and it gave me 8 as the supposed latest - is 9 a beta?

Updating to adobe 8 and whatever flash adobes site also gave me was enough to open the *torrented* pdf fine.

You're absolutely right, it shouldnt be. What I said may sounded a bit harsh but all I ment was that IF you had to buy one (I still hope it'll work out for you) that you shouldnt pay 100k+ for it, as they're selling quite cheap.

But that aside, good luck getting yours.
